However, this doesn't mean the Mega will be a cutting-edge device -- the details that have leaked out show that it will instead be an entry-level model.
For example, it will have only a relatively small, low-resolution display: 2.8 inches and 240 by 320 pixels.
This phone will reportedly run Windows Mobile on a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor, with 256 MB of RAM.
The Mega will be a GSM-based device with HSDPA. It will also allegedly include a 3 MPx fixed-focus camera and a GPS receiver.
At this point it's not known when the HTC Mega will be released, but the debut is unlikely to be before next year.
HTC Sense
The Mega has gained a bit of notoriety, as a leaked version of its system software gave the world its first look at the Windows Mobile version of HTC's new user interface.
This UI -- budded HTC Sense -- first appeared on one of this company's smartphones running Google's Android OS, but a Windows Mobile version is in development, and the Mega will apparently be among the first to run it.
